DIAMOND operating table with redesigned extension device
Schmitz & Söhne (Wickede/Ruhr, Germany) are now offering a new extension device for the DIAMOND mobile operating table. This is suitable for treatment of fractures of the lower extremities and for carrying out hip arthroscopies.
An attachment for bars with quick-release ensures easy abduction and adduction of the extension bars. The individual components slide easily, facilitating a quick and straightforward workflow.
A completely new traction unit allows extension to be precisely carried out, while the innovative ball clamp enables single-handed reduction of fractures.
This special technology guarantees safety at all times, even at the high tensile forces that are found with hip arthroscopies.
The DIAMOND, which has been on the market for two years and is the flagship of Schmitz & Söhne's line of operating tables, is designed for a working load of up to 450 kg. A wide range of OR-table configurations ensures optimal positioning of the patient for any surgical intervention. Operation can be conveniently controlled either with a cable connection or wirelessly via Bluetooth. The range of adjustment facilities can be virtually created on the Internet at www.schmitz-soehne.com.
